After having worked 15 years as vice president of Waco Hotel Supply Co., Chet Scheel decided to strike out on his own in 1979 and founded Kitcheneering, an equipment and supply dealer/distributor with an emphasis on food service design, food service equipment and supply sales and installation of commercial kitchen equipment.

Over the years, Kitcheneering grew and solidified a strong foothold in the food services industry, as well as the Waco and Central Texas market. Kitcheneering is a member of the Waco Restaurant Association, Waco Chamber of Commerce, Central Texas Chapter A.G.C. of America, Texas Restaurant Association, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and National Federation of Independent Business. Kitcheneering carries a Texas Air Conditioning contractor's license, as well as a propane gas license from the Texas Railroad Commission.

Recently, Kitcheneering expanded its Waco facilities to include a showroom and new offices. Our inventory has grown exponentially and now also includes hard-to-find gourmet accessories. A new display of Thermador and Sub Zero residential appliances has also been added. Of course, we continue to offer complete designs for new facilities and provide in-house service for warranty and out-of-warranty repairs. We still install walk-in coolers and freezers and carry all the necessary licensing. In the spirit of our ongoing philosophy, we are just trying to do things better than before.

Chet Scheel's vast knowledge and years of experience has enabled him to build strong business relationships with architects, engineers, general contractors and subcontractors, school administrators and dieticians, hospital and long-term care facility administrators, government food service operators and restaurant owners, to name a few. Over the years, these contacts helped to give Kitcheneering the edge when it came to finding the right equipment for the right application. No matter what a customer requests or needs, Chet knows how to make it happen, because chances are, he's been down that road before.
